The announcement of Lego Dimensions — the upcoming toys-to-life game that will video games and real Lego sets — is some of the most exciting news I’ve heard in ages.
But one question was concerning to fans: Would it be possible to remove the new Dimensions minifigs from their RFID bases without damaging the components?
After all, with a slew of new minifigs on the way, representing themes such as The Lego Movie, The Lord of the Rings, DC Comics, Wizard of Oz, Back to the Future and “Ninjago,” the idea of not being able to add the new characters to your existing minifig collection was anything but awesome.
Fortunately, Lego has now confirmed that, yes, the minifigs can be removed from their bases: meaning that you’ll be able to use them both in the interactive video game, and also as regular Lego.
As if we needed another reason to be sold on this idea! 😉
